I offer one-to-one, in person tuition in traditional handmade fabrication and mount making.
We can work through set design pieces from scratch, which will build upon your current skill set; or if you prefer we can design a bespoke class where we make a piece to your own design specifications.

Ring sizing day- Learn 7 different ways to size rings both up and down and both with and without stones. 1 day class
Halo ring- Mount making class: Make this beautiful halo ring from scratch. 2 days for making the ring + 1 Day extra for setting if required.
Full Eternity ring- Featuring castle set stones and fish tail cut down details. Learn to make this full eternity band for scratch including stone spacing and setting. 2 day course
4 claw wire collet- Improve your mount making and fine soldering skills with this one day class, learning to make this wire collet to fit a stone exactly, ready for setting. 1 day course. ( setting stones Optional )
Different shaped rub over collets- Learn to make collets to fit any shape stone to order. We can aim to make 2-3 collets in a day’s class in any shape you require and to any size. 1 day course ( setting stones Optional )
3 Stone Oval and Pear ring- Learn to make this complex 3 stone ring design from scratch. A great challenge to move your mount making to the next level. Learn to organize work flow and meet the challenges of making to specific stone sizes. 3 day course (Setting stones optional)
3 stone Emerald Cut ring- Learn to make this Challenging 3 Stone ring from scratch a brilliant way to build on your jewellery making skills and improve your confidence and skills as a maker. 3 day course (Setting stones optional )
Channel set ring- Channel setting is one of the hardest setting styles to master. In this class you can learn to make a full ET channel set ring from scratch for specific size and number of stones from start to finish using a more secure form of channel setting where the stones are held at 3 different points. 2 day course including setting stones
Rex Collet- Learn to make this intricate traditional mount to fit a specific stone. This versatile setting is a great way to improve your mount making skills 1 Day (setting stone optional)
Rex Collet and split Shank- Learn to make this complex solitaire ring and spilt shank design utilising the Rex Collet design. 2 day course (Setting optional )
Emerald cut rub-over collet- This is probably the most complex shape of rub over collet to make and a great way to improve your precision when making shaped collets. 1 Day (setting optional)
Round rub-over collet using 2 different methods- This classic design is the foundation of mount making and a good way to introduce yourself to more advanced making. 1/2 Day (setting optional)
Thread and Grain eternity ring- Learn to make this beautiful detailed eternity ring including working out tolerances for setting and stone spacing. 2 day course including Setting.
Pear shaped Wire collet- Intricate soldering and workflow are vital to this complex design. Learn all the insider knowledge on how to approach designs like this. 1 Day ( setting optional)
Marquise shaped wire collet- This attractive design is great step towards making more complex mounts and a great way to work on your fine soldering and construction skills. 1 Day ( setting optional)
Princess cut rub-over collet- Learn to make this useful design both with and without the use of a collet block. We can also look at creating accurate decorative cut-outs 1/2 Day (setting optional)
Marquise rub-over collet- Marquise stones come in many different shapes and sizes which can cause problems when making collets, Learn how to overcome these factors and make a perfectly fitting collets ever time in this class 1/2 Day (setting optional)
Wire collet and spit shank- Learn to make this elegant design that will teach you how to work out methods for making and soldering more complex mounts 2 Day (setting optional)
Cushion Shaped Halo ring- This complex but beautiful design is a great challenge to move on to high end fine jewellery fabrication. Learn to make to specific stone sizes and use press forming techniques 3 Day (4 days with setting)
Box Claps- Jewellery can cover a lot of different disciplines and often requires you to be an artist, scientist, sculptor and engineer. This project will really homes in the engineering side and is great way to develop your accuracy and fine measuring skills and it’s always worth it to hear that satisfying click. 2 Day class
Clicker hoops- A great class to work on mechanisms. Learn to make these hinged clicker hoops from scratch. 1 Day class
